We were tasked with providing a quotation for a large renovation project in Salisbury, working with James Burry of HG Properties. The project involved replacing several roofs and completing a roof conversion for a property divided into four townhouses. For plot one, we replaced old felt and battens while reusing Marley Ludlow Major tiles. A new flat roof was installed using a Soprema Torch Felt System. For plots two and three, we replaced damaged Welsh Slate tiles and reused slates from the property’s original roof. Plot four underwent a roof conversion using Spanish Slates and Soprema Felt to create additional living space. Lead parapet details and flashings were replaced to ensure a watertight seal. The existing Clay vertical tiling was restored, preserving the building’s façade. The project was completed on time, and the client was very satisfied with the results.

We completed roofing works on two newly built high-end homes in Southbourne, commissioned by a local Bournemouth-based developer. The project involved installing blue/black cement fibre slate tiles — a lightweight, durable, and cost-effective alternative to natural slate, ideal for steep pitches and complex roof structures. Concrete hip and ridge tiles were fitted, and the roof was finished with a continuous dry verge system for added protection against wind and water ingress. All lead work was completed, including trays for door and window openings. Flat roofs on the porches and rear extensions were sealed using the Alwitra single-ply waterproofing system, ensuring a sleek and watertight finish. The result is two attractive, weatherproof properties built to stand the test of time.

We carried out restoration work on St Mary’s Church roof, including timber repairs, tile restoration, and lead gulley replacement. Secure scaffolding was erected for safety, as per the insurance company’s request. Bespoke lead bays were formed using code 6 lead, as specified by the Church Architect, to handle high rainwater volumes. Reclaimed clay tiles were sourced to match the originals, ensuring durability and environmental sustainability. We replaced damaged timbers above the vestry, added lead covering for protection, and made repairs to the lychgate roof. All work adhered to conservation guidelines. The church was pleased with the results, and we look forward to supporting future restoration projects.

Pixie Developments hired us for a large roof conversion and two roof extensions on a chalet bungalow in Verwood. The project involved adding a side extension for extra living space and a roof extension to create upstairs bedrooms. We worked under an enclosed roof covering, allowing us to continue regardless of weather, and completed the roof extensions with Marley Hawkins Staffordshire Mix Clay Tiles. We added dormers, barn end hips, and Velux windows for extra light, along with traditional mortar ridge and verge tiles. The project also included Clay valley tiles and lead saddles for the valleys, as well as work on porch roofs. The project was completed in 6 weeks, and our client was very pleased with the final result, which complemented the new home’s design.
